Tim Tebow Named Broncos' QB

Divine intervention?
As I'm sure many of you already know, Tim Tebow has uprooted Kyle Orton for the starting quarterback job in Denver. Beyond the obvious reasons, (Orton's terrible play, the lack of a running game, etc.) Tebow's energy and overall football IQ should have had him starting way earlier than now. It's pretty obvious that the Broncos perform better when he's in just by watching the team. I caught the end of the Broncos-Chargers game, and from what I saw, the entire Broncos squad played as if they had a shot at winning. Realistically, the team had a less than stellar chance to win; most teams with a minute or less left on the clock tend to choke in huge games. Yet the Tebow-lead Broncos (helped by Brandon Lloyd's amazing catch) stormed down the field and gave the fans something to watch. Every Broncos fan watching that game took note of just how good Tebow actually is.

I'm not saying that Tim Tebow is the Batman to the Broncos' Gotham City. I just think that someone with his talent deserves a chance, and there's no better chance than now. The Dave Grohl look-alike Kyle Orton is playing terribly, the team is 1-4 and the offense needs some sort of spark.

Yes, I'm defending him fiercely because he's a devout Christian dedicated to spreading the Gospel; playing on the Broncos makes you need God to save you. And yes, I do think his athleticism is fun to watch. Who cares? He's a good guy with a great arm. Plus, some people say I look like him, so that makes me like him even more.

Ya feelin' it?
